The varied, easy route along the Suones holds many surprises for you. Numerous chill-out spots and entertainment on the play islands sweeten your excursion. Exciting variety with play and water fun for young and old is guaranteed! Along the oldest and highest Suone Eggeri and the underlying Chilcheri, you discover places of peace and well-being. The path also leads through the shady larch forest. Relax at so-called "enjoyment islands" with a foot bath and experience an incomparable sitting and lying feeling.

POI details

Your path leads you past the sports centre on the left up the steep footpath via Robi's forest playground. From here, follow the water to the entrance portal of the Chilcheri. Follow the irrigation channel through the refreshing larch forest to the glacial water rushing down. Climb uphill briefly to the path of the oldest and highest Suone Eggeri and hike back to Alpe Äbnet. Here you can enjoy fantastic views of Grächen and the breathtaking mountain scenery. Following the dirt road downhill, you will reach the idyllic Grächen mountain lake on your left. On the following section of the trail to the sports centre, you will pass the Lourdes Grotto and walk steeply downhill along the path with stations of the cross.

From Visp you take the train to St. Niklaus. There you change to the bus, which gets you to Grächen every half hour. On weekends a direct bus operates from Visp to Grächen.
